Experience our evidence-based programs tailored to strengthen family bonds and enhance communication skills. Our impactful classes and workshops for parents, such as Active Parenting, focus on developing critical skills to guide teenagers. The Nurturing Parenting Program centers around building nurturing parenting skills, serving as an alternative to neglectful practices.
The Elevate course provides teens and parents/guardians with the tools to divert high-risk behavior and thrive in today's culture, offering prevention and early intervention methods for experimental and mild to moderate substance use. Additionally, we offer informative workshops on substance abuse, mental health, and social media.
Our community is full of people and organizations who want to help our youth live their best lives.
Through community fairs, meet and greets, coalitions, and groups, we come together to create a more trauma-informed and inclusive community to support our youth and families.
We invite you to any community event to meet these amazing organizations and see what they have to offer you and your family!
Our center is open daily to provide a safe place for youth and adults alike to find resources, support, information, and get-in-the-know about community happenings.
Daily programming includes yoga for youth, homework help, resilience classes, support groups, games, workshops, and rental and utility assistance.
Our youth leadership group, YADA (Youth Against Drugs and Alcohol), is a platform that empowers middle and high-school-aged youth to combat substance abuse, underage drinking, and mental health stigma in Santa Cruz County. We achieve this through active participation in community events, educational workshops, and by disseminating impactful information. They are also a SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) chapter. SADD empowers and mobilizes students and adult allies to engage in positive change through leadership and smart decision-making. Through contests, campaigns, and leadership opportunities. Students are encouraged to unleash their potential with a focus on mobility safety, substance abuse prevention, personal health and safety, and other important initiatives. All students collaborate to create a healthier and safer world. One positive decision at a time.
